Division action kicks off on Saturday, May 14

METUCHEN, NJ – United Women’s Soccer (UWS) has officially announced the alignment and schedule for the 2022 New England Division as part of the East Conference which consists of sixteen teams. Six teams from the New England Division will play a ten game regular season to qualify for the four-team East Conference Playoffs and advance to the National Championship.

Four teams open up the season on Saturday, May 14. The 2021 UWS National Runners-up Connecticut Fusion will host the Worcester Smiles at the Farmington Sports Arena (Farmington, CT). New England Mutiny will play at home against Scorpions SC at historic Lusitano Stadium (Ludlow, MA). The Mutiny is back on home turf again on Saturday, May 21 to face Connecticut Rush. That same evening, Blackwatch Rush will make their 2022 debut against Connecticut Fusion at Christian Brothers Academy (Albany, NY). The Worcester Smiles also take the pitch on Saturday, May 21 to host Scorpions SC at Foley Stadium (Worcester, MA).

The regular season will conclude on Sunday, July 10, and the top team in the division will advance to the four-team East Conference Playoffs the weekend of July 15-17. The winner will represent the East in the UWS National Championship from July 22-24.
